Speakers Bio's

Deputy President Anna Booth

Anna Booth is a Deputy President of the Fair Work Commission and the National Practice Leader for the Commission's New Approaches jurisdiction. She is also a recognised expert in dispute resolution.

Anna is also a member of the Advisory Board for the Work and Organisation Studies Discipline in the Business School of the University of Sydney.

Immediately prior to being appointed to the Commission in February 2012 she was co-founder of the workplace relations consulting firm CoSolve Pty Ltd, a non-executive director of industry superannuation owned financial services companies ME Bank and IFM and Chair of the law firm Slater & Gordon.

Anna has served on the boards of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, the National Road Motorists Association (NRMA), the Centre for Policy Development and the Commission for Children and Young People.

Anna holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from the University of Sydney and a Company Directors Course Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Commissioner Peter Hampton

Peter Hampton

Peter Hampton is a Commissioner in the Fair Work Commission based in Adelaide, having been appointed in January 2010. Commissioner Hampton is the National Practice Leader for the Commission's Anti-Bullying jurisdiction.

In that capacity he is also a Member of the Annual Wage Review Expert Panel.

Immediately prior to that appointment, Peter was Director of Policy and Strategy for SafeWork SA, the Department of the Premier and Cabinet. 

Prior to joining SafeWork SA in 2006, he was for 12 years a Deputy President of the South Australian Industrial Relations Commission and in a dual capacity for ten of those years as a Deputy President of the Australian Industrial Relations Commission.

Peter is a former National President of the Australia Labour and Employment Relations Association and former President and current Life Member of ALERA SA.

Peter is an accredited mediator and is a member of various professional bodies, including Resolution Australia (formerly the Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators), Australian Labour Law Association, the Council of Australian Tribunals and the International Association on Workplace Bullying and Harassment.
